In 2007, after practicing in Illinois for twenty years, Dr. Sullivan opened a satellite office in his backyard community in Southeast Wisconsin. With the blessing of the community, family, and friends, he built a new office in 2011. The bricks and mortar are a small part of the package. It is the caring, friendly team who are just as dedicated that truly makes the difference in what Sullivan Dentistry offers.
Dr. Sullivan is a 1987 graduate of Loyola School of Dentistry in Chicago. In addition, he is a graduate of the Dr. Peter Dawson Academy for Advanced Dentistry, and the Dr. Jay Gerber Academy for Advanced Orthodontics and TMD (Temporomandibular Disorders). He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. His passion for dentistry is complemented by his commitment to continuing education and his membership in multiple organizations:
American Dental Association (ADA)
Chicago Dental Society (CDS)
Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS)
Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA)
International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI)
International Association of Orthodontics (IAO)
After hours, Dr. Sullivan devotes time to his loving family.
Hello, welcome to Sullivan Dentistry! My name is David Sullivan. I have recently moved back to Wisconsin and am thrilled to be practicing in the Mukwonago area. I feel very fortunate to work as such a collaborative dental team with my father, Dr. John Sullivan. My father has always loved dentistry, but made it a point to never push any of his children into the profession. He has always said that to be a great dentist, you just have to care about your patients and be very passionate about the work you do.
My education started with a degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. Upon graduation, I worked for a year as a dental assistant, which solidified my desire to pursue the dental field. I graduated from Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College in 2021, and completed a General Practice Residency at New York- Presbyterian/ Weill-Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. I am a member of the Wisconsin Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. I am passionate about continuing education.
My wife Bridget and I are excited to be back in Wisconsin, our favorite place to be. We met teaching sailing, so in the summers, you’ll find me on one of the many lakes racing sailboats against friends and family. We also enjoy golfing. No matter the weather, I take advantage of the outdoor activities the Midwest seasons have to offer. I love the tight knit communities that make Wisconsin what it is, and I look forward to being involved in this one.

Absolutely. Regular dental check-ups, a balanced diet, fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and maintaining good oral hygiene can significantly reduce the risk of cavities.
